Graduation Information
Graduation Application
Students eligible to graduate must complete and submit an application for graduation, which may be obtained in person or online. To obtain it in person, Uvalde students must go to the Rodolfo R. and Dolores Flores Student Services Building (Registrar's Office). Applications can be picked up at the Administration Building of the Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Crystal City campuses.
Please mail the graduation application form with a money order (no checks, please) made payable to SWTX to:

For security purposes, all graduates and guests will be asked to walk through a metal detector prior to entering the facility. Please be aware that a clear bag policy will be in place.Commencement Regalia
Cap and gown can be purchased at the college bookstore. Only regalia (stoles, cords, etc.) that have been issued by the college will be permitted at the ceremony. No custom or other regalia items will be permitted.Media and Photos
The college Public Relations staff will be covering the event exclusively during the ceremony and will also broadcast live via Facebook and YouTube (Please visit the SWTX website on the scheduled commencement day/time). No other individuals or media personnel will be permitted on the ground level or stage area during or after the ceremony. All graduates will be escorted outside of the facility to a designated area for photo opportunities and light refreshments with family and friends.
There will be an opportunity for graduates to take photos at the Fairplex Events Center after your respective ceremony. The events center is located across the parking lot from the arena where the commencement ceremony is being held. The main front doors to this building are facing the highway that you drive in from upon arrival. Our staff will have multiple backdrops available for photos along with light snacks and refreshments.
Services for Disabilities
Limited handicap parking will be reserved and located in front of the main entrance to the Uvalde County Fairplex arena. Decal must be displayed in the vehicle upon arrival. The facility does have designated areas for seating.
There will be no rehearsal prior to the ceremony. Please arrive early and appropriately attired inyour cap and gown for check-in and guidance.
Diplomas
Diplomas will be mailed out in June 2025, pending that there are no institutional holds.
All Students
Candidates for graduation must clear all obligations (fines, transcripts, checked-out devices, etc.) with the college before receiving their diploma or SWTX official transcripts.Commencement Ceremony Parking
General parking is available at and around the facility.
Food and Beverages
No food or beverages will be allowed to be brought into the facility. However, a campus club inside the facility will sell water for guests.Commencement Ceremony Location
