Upward Bound provides low-income and first-generation high school students with academic, cultural, and personal support for the purposes of high school graduation, postsecondary enrollment, and lifelong success.

Eligibility
Students enrolled in grades 9 - 12 at a participating school
Students whose parents did not complete a Bachelor's degree (First Generation student)
Students who show an academic need and are recommended by a teacher or counselor
Students whose family show financial need
Join SWTJC Upward Bound
- Fill out the application – Make sure to review the checklist page. We need ALL DOCUMENTS submitted before we can begin.
- Turn in the application with ALL required documents.
- We will contact you to schedule a student and a parent interview.
- We will mail a letter within 3 weeks to inform you if you have been accepted into the program.
